Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour - 200g
  • water - 120ml
  • cabbage, finely shredded - 100g
  • carrot, grated - 50g
  • green onions, sliced - 2
  • garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • oil for frying - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  2. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, sliced green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  4. Divide the rested dough into 2 equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle about 15 cm in diameter.
  5. Place half of the vegetable mixture onto one half of each dough circle, then fold the other half over to cover the filling. Press the edges to seal.
  6. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place one flatbread in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Repeat with the second flatbread, adding more oil if necessary.
  7. Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly before slicing into wedges. Serve warm.
