- Vegetable broth - 150 ml
- Chinese broccoli (Gai Lan) - 100 grams, chopped
- Bok choy - 100 grams, chopped
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown on all sides.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and soy sauce, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet to thicken the sauce. Stir well.
- Add the chopped Chinese broccoli and bok choy to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the greens are tender and vibrant.
- If desired, sprinkle with red chili flakes for a bit of heat and stir to combine.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
