  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Vegetable broth - 150 ml
  • Chinese broccoli (Gai Lan) - 100 grams, chopped
  • Bok choy - 100 grams, chopped
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown on all sides.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth and soy sauce, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet to thicken the sauce. Stir well.
  6. Add the chopped Chinese broccoli and bok choy to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the greens are tender and vibrant.
  7. If desired, sprinkle with red chili flakes for a bit of heat and stir to combine.
