- Egg noodles - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 50 ml
- Oyster sauce - 30 ml
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Chicken broth - 200 ml
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Cut the pork shoulder into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant.
- Add the pork pieces to the pot and brown them on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and chicken broth. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cover. Let it braise for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the pork is braising, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Once the pork is tender, taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Stir in the chopped spring onions and red chili flakes.
- Serve the braised pork over the cooked egg noodles, garnishing with additional spring onions if desired.
