  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 50 ml
  • Green onions - 2, chopped

  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Prepare the ingredients by cleaning the shiitake mushrooms and cutting off the stems.
  2. Rinse the bok choy and cut it in half lengthwise.
  3. In a large pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat and add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the shiitake mushrooms to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are browned and tender.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth and soy sauce, stirring well to combine.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 50 ml of water until smooth and add to the pan, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
  7. Add the bok choy halves to the pan, cover, and let them steam in the sauce for about 5 minutes until tender.
