- Shiitake mushrooms - 150 grams, sliced
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Chicken broth - 200 milliliters
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken thighs and sear them for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced shiitake mushrooms. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are softened.
- Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the seared chicken thighs to the skillet, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Let it braise for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
