- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Water - 250 ml
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- In a large skillet or pot, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken wings and sear them for about 5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
- Pour in the water, cover the skillet, and reduce the heat to low. Let the wings braise for 30 minutes, turning them occasionally.
