Ingredients
- all-purpose flour - 250 grams
- warm water - 150 ml
- active dry yeast - 5 grams
- sugar - 15 grams
- salt - 5 grams
- vegetable oil - 20 ml
- black sesame seeds - 50 grams
- powdered sugar - 20 grams
- milk - 30 ml
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and vegetable oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. In a bowl, mix black sesame seeds, powdered sugar, and milk to form a paste.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1 cm thick.
- Spread the black sesame paste evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.
- Cut the log into 6 equal pieces and place them cut side up in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
