- Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
- Water - 80 ml
- Black sesame paste - 40 grams
- Sugar - 20 grams
- Cornstarch - 10 grams
- Sesame seeds - 30 grams
- Vegetable oil - for brushing
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and water to form a smooth dough.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
- Flatten each ball into a small disc and place 1/2 teaspoon of black sesame paste in the center.
- Carefully fold the edges of the disc over the filling and roll back into a ball, ensuring the filling is sealed inside.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar and cornstarch together, then roll each ball in the mixture before coating with sesame seeds.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Place the sesame balls on the prepared tray and lightly brush the tops with vegetable oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
