Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
- Bell pepper (red or green) - 1 medium, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce (low sodium) - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon, freshly cracked
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Stevia or erythritol - 1 teaspoon (optional for sweetness)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, black pepper, and optional sweetener. Marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring to achieve a good sear, then stir-fry until the beef is browned and cooked through, about another 3 minutes.
- Add the sliced bell pepper to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and toss to combine. Remove from heat.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
