Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Bell pepper (red or green) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon, freshly cracked
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Stevia or erythritol - 1 teaspoon (optional for sweetness)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, black pepper, and optional sweetener. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring to achieve a good sear, then stir-fry until the beef is browned and cooked through, about another 3 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced bell pepper to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
  5. Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and toss to combine. Remove from heat.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
