  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Black bean sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 inch, minced
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 milliliters

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of water. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, stir-frying for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender.
  5. Return the beef to the wok, add black bean sauce and the remaining water. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
