Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground chicken - 150 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, finely diced
  • Green bell pepper - 1/2, finely diced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt, then gradually add the warm water until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the diced carrot, green bell pepper, and chopped green onions to the skillet, cooking for another 5 minutes until vegetables are softened.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper, mixing well. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  7. Divide the rested dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a thin circle about 15 cm in diameter.
  8. Place a generous spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of each dough circle, then fold the edges over to form a half-moon shape, sealing the edges well.
  9. Place the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm.
