Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ground chicken - 150 grams
- Carrot - 1 medium, finely diced
- Green bell pepper - 1/2, finely diced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt, then gradually add the warm water until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced carrot, green bell pepper, and chopped green onions to the skillet, cooking for another 5 minutes until vegetables are softened.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper, mixing well. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Divide the rested dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a thin circle about 15 cm in diameter.
- Place a generous spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of each dough circle, then fold the edges over to form a half-moon shape, sealing the edges well.
- Place the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm.
