- Boneless chicken thighs - 250 grams
- Soy sauce - 30 ml
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Spring onions - 2, finely chopped
- Carrot - 1 medium, grated
- Cabbage - 100 grams, finely shredded
- Wonton wrappers - 8 sheets
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for brushing
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- In a bowl, combine the chicken thighs, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Marinate for 20 minutes.
- After marinating, cook the chicken in a skillet over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Shred the cooked chicken into small pieces and mix it with grated carrot, shredded cabbage, and chopped spring onions.
- Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface, place a generous spoonful of the filling in the center, and fold the wrapper over to form a triangle. Seal the edges with a bit of the beaten egg.
- Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Place the filled wontons on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with vegetable oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
