Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 100 grams
  • Water - 300 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped scallions - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Shredded cucumber - 1/2 cup
  • Chili oil - 1 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, salt, and water, stirring until smooth.
  2. Grease a flat steaming dish or a shallow tray and pour the rice flour mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
  3. Steam the mixture in a steamer or over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes, until set and firm.
  4. Once cooked, remove from the steamer and let it cool slightly before cutting into strips or squares.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili oil (if using) to create the dressing.
  6. To serve, place the rice flour strips on a plate, drizzle with the dressing, and top with chopped scallions, cilantro, and shredded cucumber.
