- Whole wheat flour - 150 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Salt - 2 grams
- Olive oil - 15 ml
- Cooked chicken breast, shredded - 150 grams
- Bell pepper, thinly sliced - 1 medium
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Soy sauce - 15 ml
- Sesame oil - 5 ml
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
- Chinese five-spice powder - 2 grams
- Black pepper - 1 gram
Steps
- In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then knead until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- While the dough is rising, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced bell pepper and green onions, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add the shredded chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, Chinese five-spice powder, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until everything is heated through. Remove from heat.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a round shape about 1 cm thick.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the chicken and vegetable mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.
