Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Scallions - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the warm water, stirring until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, mix the chopped scallions with sesame oil and black sesame seeds, if using.
  4. Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle about 20 cm in diameter.
  5. Spread 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over each circle, then sprinkle the scallion mixture evenly on top.
  6. Roll each circle into a log, then coil it into a spiral shape. Flatten the spiral gently with your hands.
  7. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil. Cook each flatbread for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the skillet and cut into wedges. Serve warm.
