Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the water while mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  5. After resting, divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a long strip, about 30 cm long.
  6. Twist each strip to create a spiral shape and pinch the ends to secure.
  7. In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  8. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the twisted dough pieces and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  9. Remove the fried dough and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.
