Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
  • Snow peas - 150 grams, trimmed
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and add minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the snow peas to the skillet and stir-fry for about 2 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the snow peas. Add sesame oil and chopped green onions, and stir everything together for another minute.
  7. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
