Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 150 grams, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce (K kosher) - 3 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Add the shiitake mushrooms to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they soften.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, add the remaining tablespoon of soy sauce and sesame oil, and stir-fry everything together for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
