Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
  • Kale - 150 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce (Kosher) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Green onion - 1, sliced (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and add the chopped kale. Stir-fry the kale for about 2-3 minutes until it starts to wilt.
  5. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet with the kale. Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture, and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and garnish with sliced green onion before serving.
