Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce (low sodium) - 3 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion, garlic, and ginger, and stir-fry for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced red and green bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and sesame oil, and stir-fry everything together for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
