  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 3 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion, garlic, and ginger, and stir-fry for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced red and green bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and sesame oil, and stir-fry everything together for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
