Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Asparagus - 150 grams, trimmed and cut into 5 cm pieces
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the asparagus and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet with the asparagus. Drizzle with sesame oil, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
