Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Peanut butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Skewers (soaked in water) - 4 pieces
  • Cilantro (for garnish) - a handful

Steps

  1. Cut the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 2 cm wide.
  2. In a bowl, mix the gluten-free soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, lime juice, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  3. Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated beef strips onto the soaked skewers, about 4-5 strips per skewer.
  6. Grill the satay sticks for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked to your liking.
  7. While the beef is grilling, prepare the peanut dipping sauce by mixing the peanut butter with a little warm water to thin it out and adjusting the consistency until it is smooth.
  8. Serve the grilled beef satay sticks hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and accompanied by the peanut dipping sauce.
