Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon

  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Bell pepper, finely chopped - 50 grams
  • Carrot, grated - 30 grams
  • Lettuce leaves (Butter or Romaine) - 6 large leaves
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped green onion, bell pepper, and grated carrot to the beef mixture, stirring well to combine.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  7. To serve, scoop the beef mixture into the lettuce leaves, fold, and enjoy.
