Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced against the grain
  • Snow peas - 150 grams, trimmed
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of gluten-free soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring quickly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the snow peas to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the snow peas. Add the remaining gluten-free soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2 minutes.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
