- Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
- Snow peas - 150 grams, trimmed
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Water - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and ginger, stir-frying for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the trimmed snow peas to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, add 2 tablespoons of water, and drizzle with sesame oil. Stir well and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
