- Beef (sirloin or flank steak) - 250 grams, thinly sliced
- Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Onion - 1 small, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Spring onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and stir everything together. Drizzle with sesame oil and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper if needed. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped spring onions before serving.
