Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 small, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion and garlic, stir-frying for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced green bell pepper to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet. In a small bowl, mix the oyster sauce, water, and sugar, then pour it over the beef and peppers. Stir well to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Drizzle sesame oil over the dish before serving.
  7. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
