- Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- Carrots - 150 grams, julienned
- Bell pepper - 100 grams, sliced (any color)
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the julienned carrots and sliced bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and toss everything together. Drizzle with sesame oil and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Add chopped spring onions before serving. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
