Ingredients

  • Cooked Jasmine rice - 2 cups
  • Beef (thinly sliced, Halal) - 200 grams
  • Cabbage (finely shredded) - 1 cup
  • Carrot (julienned) - 1 small
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Egg (beaten) - 1 large

Steps

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage and julienned carrot to the pan, stir-frying for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and pour the beaten egg into the other side, scrambling it until fully cooked.
  6. Add the cooked rice, beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until heated through.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
