Ingredients
- Beef (sirloin) - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- Broccoli - 200 grams, cut into florets
- Soy sauce (low sodium) - 3 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 100 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2 minutes until they start to turn bright green.
- Return the beef to the pan, then add the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
