  • Broccoli - 200 grams, cut into florets
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 3 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2 minutes until they start to turn bright green.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, then add the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  6. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
