Ingredients

  • Beef (thinly sliced, flank or sirloin) - 200 grams
  • Broccoli florets - 150 grams
  • Egg noodles - 150 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Beef broth - 500 milliliters
  • Water - 500 milliliters
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (sliced) - 2 for garnish
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring the beef broth and water to a boil.
  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the boiling broth.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and add the sliced beef. Cook for about 5 minutes until the beef is tender.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Add the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions in a separate pot. Drain and set aside.
  7. Once the broccoli is cooked, add the cooked noodles to the soup and stir to combine.
  8. Drizzle sesame oil over the soup and mix well.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
