Ingredients

  • 200g beef sirloin - thinly sliced
  • 150g broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger - minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic - minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 50ml beef broth
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • 2 tablespoons water

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of water. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced beef and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  4. Return the broccoli to the skillet with the beef. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring well to coat everything evenly.
  5. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and everything is heated through. Serve immediately.
