- beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
- bell pepper (red) - 1 medium, sliced
- bell pepper (green) - 1 medium, sliced
- soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- scallions - 2, chopped
- black pepper - to taste
- sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, prepare the bell peppers by slicing them into thin strips.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, add chopped scallions, and season with black pepper. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- Serve the stir-fry hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
