- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (low-sodium recommended)
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Red bell pepper - 50 grams, sliced
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Black pepper - to taste
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon (optional, for thickening sauce)
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef slices to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, ginger, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the asparagus to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and add the soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. If using, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
- Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes to ensure the beef is heated through and the flavors meld.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
