  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (low-sodium recommended)
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red bell pepper - 50 grams, sliced
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon (optional, for thickening sauce)

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef slices to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, ginger, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the asparagus to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and add the soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. If using, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
