- Beef sirloin - 300 grams, cut into 2cm cubes
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Shaoxing wine - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, ground cumin, ground coriander, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the beef cubes to the marinade and mix well to ensure all pieces are coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
