Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 250 grams
- Warm water - 150 ml
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Sugar - 10 grams
- Salt - 5 grams
- Vegetable oil - 15 ml
- Ground chicken - 150 grams
- Cabbage, finely chopped - 50 grams
- Carrot, grated - 30 grams
- Ginger, minced - 5 grams
- Garlic, minced - 5 grams
- Soy sauce - 15 ml
- Sesame oil - 5 ml
- Black pepper - 1 gram
Steps
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil, and knead until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix ground chicken, chopped cabbage, grated carrot, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Gather the edges and pinch to seal, forming a bun.
- Place the buns in a steamer lined with parchment paper and let them rise for an additional 15 minutes.
- Steam the buns over boiling water for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. Serve warm.
