Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Sugar - 10 grams
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Vegetable oil - 15 ml
  • Ground chicken - 150 grams
  • Cabbage, finely chopped - 50 grams
  • Carrot, grated - 30 grams
  • Ginger, minced - 5 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 5 grams
  • Soy sauce - 15 ml
  • Sesame oil - 5 ml
  • Black pepper - 1 gram

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil, and knead until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix ground chicken, chopped cabbage, grated carrot, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Gather the edges and pinch to seal, forming a bun.
  6. Place the buns in a steamer lined with parchment paper and let them rise for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Steam the buns over boiling water for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. Serve warm.
