  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Drain the tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss until they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the cornstarch over the marinated tofu cubes and toss gently to coat, ensuring an even layer.
  6. Place the tofu cubes on a lined baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart for even cooking.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
