Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Press the firm tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into thin slices (about 2-3 mm thick).
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, chili powder, and salt.
  4. Add the tofu slices to the bowl and gently toss to coat them evenly with the marinade. Let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated tofu slices in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  6. Sprinkle the black sesame seeds over the tofu slices.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
