Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground ginger - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Sriracha, garlic powder, ground ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade, gently tossing to coat. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  5. On a separate plate, spread the cornstarch evenly. Remove tofu from marinade and coat each piece in cornstarch.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the coated tofu cubes in a single layer.
  7. Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the tofu for added spice.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
