Ingredients

  • Egg noodles - 150 grams
  • Chicken breast, diced - 200 grams
  • Bell pepper, diced - 1 medium
  • Carrot, shredded - 1 medium
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded - 50 grams
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the diced bell pepper, shredded carrot, and chopped green onions, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, cooked chicken and vegetable mixture, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and beaten egg. Mix well to combine.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
