- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Peel and slice the lotus root into thin rounds, about 0.5 cm thick.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Layer half of the lotus root slices in a baking dish.
- Spread the pork mixture evenly over the lotus root layer.
- Top with the remaining lotus root slices.
- Drizzle cooking oil over the top and pour 100 ml of water into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the pork is cooked through and the lotus root is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
