- Carrot - 1 medium, diced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
- In a medium bowl, combine the rinsed rice, sliced Chinese sausage, diced carrot, frozen green peas, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the chicken broth over the rice mixture and stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil, stir the rice, and make a small well in the center.
- Pour the beaten egg into the well and gently mix it into the rice.
- Return to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the egg is cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
