- Soy sauce - 60ml
- Honey - 1 tablespoon (15g)
- Fresh ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated (15g)
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon (8g)
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Spring onions - 2 stalks, chopped for garnish
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, cornstarch, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side up in the baking dish and pour any remaining marinade over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
- Once done, remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
