Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia) - 300 grams
  • Bai Jiu (Chinese white liquor) - 60 ml
  • Fresh ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine Bai Jiu, grated ginger, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

  4. Cook the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the chopped green onions, cilantro, and red chili flakes over the fish.
  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
