Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 3 tablespoons
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the gluten-free soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade and thread the strips onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand).
  6. Grill the beef skewers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  7. During the last minute of grilling, sprinkle the sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the beef for added flavor.
  8. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
