Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 300 grams
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 3 tablespoons
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a bowl, mix together the gluten-free soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the beef from the marinade and thread the strips onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand).
- Grill the beef skewers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- During the last minute of grilling, sprinkle the sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the beef for added flavor.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
