Ingredients

  • Almond milk - 400 ml
  • Agar-agar powder - 5 g
  • Sugar - 30 g
  • Almond extract - 1 tsp
  • Chopped almonds - 20 g
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Fresh fruit (for garnish) - optional

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the agar-agar powder and 100 ml of water. Let it soak for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the almond milk and sugar to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly until the agar-agar and sugar have completely dissolved.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the almond extract.
  4. Pour the mixture into two small dessert bowls or molds, and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  5. Once cooled, place the bowls in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to set.
  6. After setting, gently run a knife around the edges of the molds and invert onto a plate if desired.
  7. Garnish with chopped almonds and fresh fruit if using, and serve chilled.
