  • Garlic - 2 cloves (minced)
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
  • Whole wheat buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1 (sliced)
  • Avocado - 1/2 (sliced)
  • Vegan mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mash the cooked black beans with a fork until roughly smooth.
  2. Add the cooked quinoa, chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the mashed beans. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 2 burger patties.

  5. Toast the whole wheat buns lightly in the same skillet or in a toaster.
