  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Gluten-free burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cheddar cheese - 2 slices
  • Pickles - 4 slices

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the beef short ribs to the pot, browning them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle in smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to coat the ribs with the spices.
  4. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low, cooking for 1.5 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Once cooked, remove the ribs from the pot and let them cool slightly. Shred the meat using two forks, discarding any excess fat and bones.
  6. Toast the gluten-free burger buns lightly on a skillet or grill.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a generous amount of shredded beef on the bottom half of the bun, followed by a slice of cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
