Ingredients
- lean ground beef - 250 grams
- turkey bacon - 4 slices
- whole wheat burger buns - 2
- avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- lettuce leaves - 2
- onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- mustard - 1 tablespoon
- lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- salt - to taste
Steps
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the turkey bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Form into 2 patties.
- Using the same skillet, add a little olive oil and cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, mix the mustard and lime juice in a small bowl to create a zesty sauce.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden.
- To assemble the burgers, spread the mustard-lime sauce on the bottom bun, add the beef patty, top with crispy turkey bacon, avocado slices, tomato, onion, and lettuce. Place the top bun on and serve.
