Ingredients
- Seitan - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red wine vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, black pepper, salt, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
- Cut the seitan into thick slices resembling picanha, then coat them with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the seitan is marinating, prepare the chimichurri sauce by combining parsley, cilantro, red chili flakes, and red wine vinegar in a small bowl. Add a pinch of salt and mix well.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Once the grill is hot, place the marinated seitan slices on it. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the seitan is heated through.
- Serve the grilled seitan with the chimichurri sauce drizzled on top or on the side.
